A Classical Archaeologist at the University of Arizona

As the Nicholas and Athena Karabots Professor of Greek Archaeology in the School of Anthropology, Dr. Romano has been involved in archaeological fieldwork in Greece for 45 years. He is a specialist in the Ancient Olympic Games, Greek and Roman cities, sanctuaries, and architecture, as well as computer applications in archaeology — GIS, digital cartography and remote sensing.
